Sandown Ski School

Back in May 2023 were were invited by Whizzkidz, together with DSUK, to a trial sitski session. Whizzkidz support children and young adults with gaining access to specialist wheelchairs as well as providing social opportunities - this was a bit of each!

The slope at Sandown is fairly short, however it makes up for that by being super bumpy and twisty, which the instructors from DSUK made very good use of. Despite the mixed weather, all the young people had a blast; the rest of us ducked in and out of the cafe at the top between rainstorms:
